Bernd Rosemeyer migrates to Brazil with the religious order of the Franziscans. |

He studies theology and looks after streetchildren in Recife. |

Legal studies at the university in Fortaleza. Foundation of a small group that takes care of streetchildren and their families in the slums of Fortaleza. |

1992 |
Werner Rosemeyer starts a fundraising campaign in Löningen (Germany) to support the work of his brother. With this money he travels to Brazil in order to buy a house in Fortaleza – as a meeting point for streetchildren. |

1994 |
Foundation of „Der kleine Nazareno e.V.“ and the Brazilian organisation „Associacao Beneficente O Pequeno Nazareno“ (OPN). Werner Rosemeyer is elected chairman of the German organisation. |

1995 |
Inauguration of the first Nazareno-Farm 35 kilometres outside of Fortaleza. The OPN starts to get involved in the work of a national human rights commission, responsible for drafting policy principles and guidelines on child- and youth policies. |

1996 |
The first streetchildren are welcomed at the farm near Fortaleza. Bernd Rosemeyer graduates from Law School. |

1998 |
OPN attains the status of the organisation in Northeast Brazil that succeeds to take up the highest number of former streetchildren while having the lowest quota of children returning to the street (4 % ). |

1999 |
The Nazareno farm by now consists of three accommodation houses, two schools, one sports centre as well as a vocational training centre. |

2000 |
The concept of the nazareno farm near Fortaleza is to be extended and applied to the city of Recife. Recife also faces a serious problem with respect to streetchildren. |

2002 |
Construction of the nazareno farm on the island Itamaracŕ near Recife. The first children are welcomed at the farm in August 2002. |

2003 |
Official inauguration of the children’s farm. Gaby Dohm (actress) is appointed patroness of the Little Nazareno Association. Zé Roberto (FC Bayern) and Nascimento (Eintracht Frankfurt) become official supporters of the organisation. |

2004 |
The sixth boarding house is built in Fortaleza. In Recife, the second school is being built. Public relations work commences in Fortaleza with monthly demonstrations in the centre of the city. These activities are planned and conducted by educators of the farm as well as former street children themselves. A radio show conducted by former streetchildren together with educators is done on a weekly basis, reaching an audience of approximately 104.000 people per week. |

The National Kampangne will lead to a comprehensive success. The Small Nazareno visited all states and capitals of Brazil. |

A delegation of seven members of the OPN travels to Germany inviting by the Youth Office of Leipzig . |
